The Children's Hospital of Winnipeg is a children's hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is located on the campus of the Health Sciences Centre near downtown Winnipeg and is expressly devoted to the health care of children.The hospital was founded in 1909 and was staffed by one nurse and volunteer doctors and surgeons. The first complete hospital building was erected on William Avenue at Sherbrooke Street, opening in 1958 following a successful fundraising campaign begun in 1948 headed by prominent businessman John Draper Perrin.
